Spring 2024 was predicted to bring neutrals back. At Milan Fashion Week last Autumn only a splash of the fiercest of reds was expected. But as the grey skies continue and the fields look more washed out than ever in March, aren’t you ready for florals and frills? Some fun with colour and pattern?
To cut a dash you couldn’t do better than our daisy-patterned Juno tunic. In 100% cotton with a button on the side it’s a fit and flare tunic with a flattering dropped hemline. Floral heaven.
Susie’s allium print is a little subtler and you can choose from 14 colours. It’s a mix of cotton and linen for an even crisper finish.
Ladylike and feminine is a look we can get on board with this Spring. Our Aimee block colour blouse has a Bardot ruffle and gathered cuffs creating whimsical appeal perfectly in proportion. The sky blue version gives a nod to the predicted ice blues and presents a very clean effect. Wear it with a round neckline or set below the shoulders in the evening.
Keeping the womanly effect to the fore, Rae is a floaty top with a lace layer hemline and elasticated cuffs that takes a girly look up a notch . Choose white to elevate and create an immaculate look in keeping with this year’s trends.
Sheer fabrics are back for Spring 2024 and Viera fulfills that with the extra femininity of a ruffle trim encircling the v-neck and right down the button front. It has its own lining so it’s easy to slip on for work.
Collars are also back for 2024. A classic oversized shirt like stripey Glenda is a timeless piece that every wardrobe should have. It’s eminently wearable with pockets in the seams. It fits the quiet luxury approach for this year adding pieces that will stand you in good stead for years to come rather than novelty transient pieces. Brady is a shorter shirt but also wide fitting and ideal for the Lagenlook effect. Wear over leggings or jeans to feel pulled together and ready for the day.
You can eschew the suit shorts and pencil skirts and live in our Yana v-neck linen kaftan which comes in 10 colours. It’s from our Made in Italy range where quality and style come first. Waisted and with short sleeves it gives a womanly pear shaped silhouette, complementing your curves yet practical.
Ideally, you’ll be inspired by the creativity of the great fashion brands to enjoy the changes each season brings but adopt your own versions to suit your unique style. Above all, have fun with it.

Think of a person in your life or a character type that you would love to be and try to visualize yourself in that persona. Sophisticated or adventurous, quirky or pulled together you have the ability to present yourself any way you like. You could even create a mood board either digitally or with magazines and a glue stick. This will help you focus and is lots of fun to do. A bit of time over several days lets you experiment and change your mind. Imagine how you will feel in these outfits.
Sometimes a single piece can be transformative. Our Louisa poncho lets you swap out sweaters and jackets for an elegant svelte look. A clever mix of wool and viscose it also contains cashmere the ultimate luxury. It comes in 15 colours so you can match or contrast with any outfit. It will style up jeans or a dress.
What about a longer textured coat like our Brantley with its waterfall collar and deep pockets? This grown up piece helps you exude confidence feeling secure in its warmth.
What do you wear all the time and what never gets an outing?
Are the colours dreary? Are you always in black? It could be very draining. With a little effort you could brighten up your collection. Experiment to see what flatters your skin tone and perhaps focus on 5 colours to build a cohesive wardrobe. If you sell things you don’t’ wear you can fund your new look.
Do you ever wear animal print? Betty, our ankle grazer stretch trousers, liven up the legs showing a bit of your wild side. Isabella is our plus-size version. Pair with a chunky cardigan like Rebecca to come across as relaxed and stay oh so warm.
If you photograph your outfits you can see what works and what might be too much. Coco Chanel used to say remove one accessory before you leave the house.
Dare to dream of items that make the statement you want to project.
Embrace your femininity with a forgiving dress that highlights your curves. Finola is our long-sleeved tunic dress. The generous skirt falls from shirred side panels to create a flattering silhouette.
You can never have too many fun items in your wardrobe. The giant daises on our Calista bring joy to the wearer and everyone you meet. With its round neck and dropped shoulders it’s casual but cosy.
You’ll be surprised how many compliments you attract as the new you. All the positive vibes are contagious.
Follow us on Facebook @Luvvey.com for more ideas to step into the new you.
Why be average you can be exceptional? If you want to come across as confident and fun choose bold clothing. People will remember you. You will be surprised how much more attention you get from the opposite sex! Complimenting your clothing is such an easy way for someone to start a conversation.
You want to be the one people remember after the event so make use of the potential of clothing to make an impact. The key is to be true to yourself. Express your personality through style, colour, texture and design. Be yourself. You decide who you are and what you want to accentuate. You don’t need to follow trends blindly.
We all have our unique qualities, but we tend to hide under the bushel trying to blend in and be accepted as normal. But in the grown-up world it’s time to make an impact. You won’t find Emily Blunt or Blake Lively in frumpy outfits on the red carpet. They always make a mark.
Trip the light fantastic in our Made in Italy Jude neon fuschia poncho. The cabled knit is already prominent over jeans or leggings but choosing such a daring colour means no-one will forget you and you will feel fabulous while covering everything and keeping warm in the evening. This piece can transform what you’ve worn all day at work to reinvigorate you and let you sparkle.
The daisy pattern on our Sarina says bold yet feminine. The chunky mohair and wool blend is absolutely sumptuous. The dropped shoulders and generous sleeves are snuggly while the daisies promise spring with all its optimistic energy. You can coordinate with Willow trousers or experiment with colour combinations like orange and green. You don’t need to match, have fun juxtaposing colour.
Novie is our striped Made in Italy v-neck long-sleeved tunic. Choose lime green for something a little different from navy and white. Again you can pair with matching trousers like our generous Georgia trousers.
Really think about colour and what flatters you. Stand out from the background by choosing lime or fuschia. Red denotes strength and confidence. It’s a power move at work. Are you ready to break down barriers and create change?
Let elegance be your calling card. Subtle pieces can stand out with a lower neckline. Our Aliana hooded tunic with a frill at the hip lets you express something different and feminine. Our Elise roll-neck sweater has different coloured cuffs and hemline denoting sophistication.
Sometimes just one piece can help you rethink your entire wardrobe. January is a great time to clear out the pieces you just don’t wear any more so you can invest in a new you. Every day is a chance to start afresh.

Sarina is our sumptuous chunky knit with 10% Mohair and 20% wool mixed into an acrylic and viscose textile. It is easy to care for but ultra soft. The dropped shoulders make it so comfortable to relax in with a fun daisy pattern perking everyone up.
The advantages of wool mixed with acrylic or polyamide (nylon) is the garment keeps its shape, is easy to wash and has a silky feel. It also makes it more affordable than 100% wool. Sometimes wool can be scratchy and itchy where the blends are not.
Stevie is another of our thicker jumpers that give you colour and comfort this season. 65% acrylic means it is extremely durable while the wool and viscose in it make it warm as well as soft. The bright smiley design means you exude confidence and positivity.
Courtney is even more cuddly with a roll neck to keep you warm. It has a cable running across it for intriguing detail and it’s made of 63% modal.
Modal is a bio-based fabric that is made from spinning beech tree cellulose. It is generally considered a more eco-friendly alternative to cotton because beech trees don't require much water to grow so the production process uses about 10-20 times less water. It’s super soft and stretchy and it doesn’t pill. The fabric drapes beautifully.
For those nights out the glitter in Farryn with its cowl neck in polyester and elastane brings the sparkle. Its balloon shape hangs beautifully with gathers sloping down under the bust. Equally glitzy Daylin swings in a feminine way and the short batwing sleeves give off a relaxed vibe. Polyester and elastane makes a really practical fabric, easy to wash but with a stretch to help you get it on and off.
A sweater and ankle grazer trousers can be your uniform for winter. Made of 71% viscose our Willows stretchy trousers give you the comfort of natural fibre with elastane to give a bit of stretch. The tapered fit is very feminine and they come in 13 colours to match any top. Georgia are plus size for a roomier fit. Again there are ten colours so you can co-ordinate or experiment to your heart’s desire.
To finish up your outfit add Kacie faux fur mittens for warmth and glamour. We also have a selection of joyful pompom hats including Lucille with a cable pattern and fleece lining to keep you warm.
We are always happy to help with suggestions. Just drop us a line at info@luvvey.com.
And have a wonderful holiday season. 🎅🎅 xx
]]>Lagenlook lets you be striking without losing femininity. Our Holly with its batwing sleeves is as impressive as a cape. The sleeve is ribbed to the forearm so although the garment is voluminous it is practical. Pairing it with leggings also gives definition. The star knitted into the front is another opportunity to manifest your power! The hemline ripples freely, putting the look in motion and ensuring you attract attention. A stunning piece.
Texture gives Lagenlook the edge. Our Chelsea cotton tunic with buttons down the side has a corduroy effect panel in the front. This is an important feature of Lagenlook since it adds richness. You can wear the tunic over a linen shirt or a sweater so the three textures give depth. It works with a belt to nip in at the waist. The rib effect on our suedette Jay boots links into the look.
You don’t just have to choose skirts to create Lagenlook. Playsuits and dungarees give a fun energy to the fuller figure. The texture of our corduroy Danika dungarees is just one element that makes them so appealing. They’re oversized with bows on the straps to give a playful accent and so easy to layer over a tight top or loose sweater to experiment with Lagenlook. Tie a scarf round your hair and feel as Bohemian as Helena Bonham Carter.
Our asymmetric poncho Victoria lets you finish an outfit with a stylish flare. Coming to a point on one side, it creates an accent with a block of colour. It is light enough to wear over another sweater. Colour is an important element of Lagenlook whether you stick to monochrome shades or liberate yourself to a contrasting palette. Victoria comes in 9 shades including brights and neutrals.
The scarf that comes with our Made in Italy Flora cowl neck sweater has tassels and faux jewels to give chic allure. And of course, you can use it with any outfit to create that playful feel.
Any of these pieces will enhance your wardrobe so you can experiment with Lagenlook to express your individuality. If you don’t want to conform, Lagenlook will give you so many chances to shine. Have fun with accessories to add highlights to your unique look.
Our mission is to inspire you to enjoy fashion whatever your shape.

It’s half term in Scotland already, Halloween filtered into the shops weeks ago, then it will be Guy Fawkes and it won’t be long before the world that some don’t mention til the first of December runs amok in our lives!
We like to lean into the classics in October. October celebrates orange. This is sometimes tricky colour works wonderfully in autumn because this is the time when layers are your best friend. Temperatures fluctuate and the weather can turn from gorgeous to monsoon in a flash.
If you’ve been continuing to work on your wardrobe, stripping out what no longer serves you, now is a good time to keep sorting your clothes into outfits ready for the week.
For example, you might have one of our signature tunics like Hannah whose tulip silhouette is so flattering for those of us with smaller chests and bigger hips. This year there is apple green so that the linen Lagenlook classic can liven up. It’s ok to have several of the same piece. When you find the ideal shape for you, run with it! It works with our Willow & Georgia trousers, the perfect weight not too hot, not too cold for Autumn and you can get them in wine. Or dig out some colourful tights and show off those shapely calves. Burgundy by the fire anyone? Our Royce cayenne jodhpur boots in cayenne faux leather with a zip complete the dressed-for-it outfit smart enough yet robust enough to get you through puddles to where you need to be.
What about a dressier top, thicker than linen but not quite so warm as wool? It really is not winter yet. Our Michelle is just such a fabulous piece. It’s made of sweatshirt material but it is mid-calf length and has a beautifully feminine pleat and bow detail on the left thigh. Of course, it’s from our Made in Italy collection. Only the Italians could be so clever! If you wear it with our Paolina faux suede taupe boots you really feel dressed for the day but also fun and dancing. It will sashay when you walk .If you feel the need for a little kitchen dancing in the morning you can “shake it shake it” like Taylor Swift! Classic femininity with a fun twist.
And you could add a witches’ hat for Halloween or buy it in paprika to be a svelte pumpkin as you troop the kids round the doors in the dark. In Scotland, it’s guising and the kids must at least tell a joke or sing. If only the trick-or-treaters did that too!
Don't for a minute think that the week’s outfits need to be set in stone; you can still channel your inner creativity, flaunt your favourite florals, or subtly style up a sophisticated outfit to impress at work. Accessories are the answer.
Scarves freshen up any outfit. And with the unpredictable weather patterns, they're so practical! The ideal present for colleagues’ birthdays or buy a few in different colours for gifts for your closest circle of friends when it comes to that giving season. Need a teacher’s gift? Scarf it! Our range lets you match their personality precisely. It’s not too early to get ahead of Christmas shopping and enjoy it. Shopping online when you can be sure of the quality, delivery and excellent service is fun not fraught!
Do you have a drawer full of scarves you never wear? Did your late Aunty give you one? Hand it down to your daughter so you can replace it with something you love to wear and works with your lifestyle! Some were gifts so are hard to let go of, others were bought for a specific era of your life or outfit that brings back memories of a particular occasion. But why not limit yourself to 6 so you can treat yourself to something fresh and floral that you can wear or tie in 6 different ways? If you need something warm for an early dog walk we have super fun hats and thicker scarves. It’s dark before work nowadays but that doesn’t mean you can’t look and feel bright.
And remember we are always here to help just drop us a line at info@luvvey.com. We love hearing from our customers!
Stand out pieces to arrive in the moment
The ultimate versatile and stylish piece for Autumn is our Victoria poncho. It’s, so elegant and so practical if a cool breeze arrives in the evening. Its asymmetric design defines one shoulder. Choose from 12 colours to wear over a dress, long sleeves or trousers. It’s the perfect piece to take your daytime outfit into the evening.
If you’re looking for something easy going and practical, our Liana corduroy dungarees are just the thing. You can wear them over a tee-shirt or a sweater to feel playful yet capable. With cute knots on the shoulder straps they’re a fun take on a classic. The pockets help you get stuck into whatever project or challenge the day presents.
There’s nothing so cosy as a sweater
Sweaters envelop you and make you feel secure. You can rely on them to be there like an old friend when the temperatures keep changing. When you find one you cherish you can collect it in several colours to suit your mood. This season bold is still on trend with red, cobalt blue and sunshine yellow featuring.
Our Julianna heart print is sure to become a favourite. It’ll cheer everyone up and you’ll be greeted with all the right vibes. The sequin heart on our Hilary takes it one step further. Why not sparkle?
Tunics continue to flatter the figure and our Made in Italy Winslet gives sophistication as well as warmth. It has batwing sleeves with a ribbed forearm and a plait detail down the back. You feel like you’ve got this. There are 14 block colours to choose from including brights fuchsia and emerald or Autumn classics like rich chocolate.
Keep an array of scarves to spice things up
What outfit isn’t enhanced by adding a bright scarf? Just drape it round your neck or tie it neatly at the side or loop to give a luxurious feel. Luvvey has so many to choose from prints or abstract, floral, animal or tasselled. Our crew neck Arabella sweater makes the perfect backdrop.
Funky feet keep you moving forward
Let’s not forget the feet. Swapping sandals for loafers can ease the pain of saying goodbye to your toes. Our Findlay slip-ons in faux suede have a sparkling gold trim so your feet can still feel fun. Treat yourself to one of our new trainers, Jemma chunky lace-ups also have a glitter detail to let you enjoy every element of your outfit.

Here in the British Isles, the weather plays games with us in August. The summer flowers including roses, lilies and hydrangeas are in full bloom. But if you are out with the dog early in the morning you may find the temperature has plummeted overnight. On other days, you will be hit with downpours in the afternoons. It’s challenging just as March can come in like a lion handout like a lamb or in like a lion and out with a roar.
Let’s take a deep breath, look around and see that all that is challenging in autumn might actually be transformed into a triumph.
Those russet leaves on a chestnut tree, the very first brambles are so, so succulent and those scarlet berries abundant on a rowan tree mean that although it’s time to always start the day in a cardigan we can harvest joy.
Yes, you will find yourself reaching for a sweater to wrap round your shoulders and we are here to encourage you because:
Yes You Can
You just need to get into the habit of having the correct cardigan to build a spectacular outfit.
Why not be the life and soul of your own BBQ in our polka dot Celine? Choose from teal, lime or emerald if you are against an outdoor backdrop of turning colours.
There’s nothing more fun than Celine Dion singing along to Baby Shark with James Corden in carpool karaoke. One of the most talented fabulous women on the planet harnessing fun and laughter to the max. He challenges her to dramatise any song…she has never heard of Baby Shark…and Boom! She nails it. So much fun.
Already the chestnut leaves are turning, the maples are starting to perform their spectacular colour transformation. If you can still snatch a weather window to invite neighbours over ,our polka dot tunic Celine lets you stand out against an autumn backdrop of russets, ochre and scarlet.
Autumn colour stories
These will always include russets, reds, ochres and gold. If you are going to have a sweater round your shoulders, it be light in weight and subtle in shade. Let’s face it you will need a raincoat standing by and it’s too
To complement the outfit, you thought might work right through the day bt the weather had other ideas.
Our Gabrielle sweater has all the softness and lightness that lets you add a layer you can easily remove. It hits just the right point for your hip or you can belt it at the waist to make the most of your apple or pear shape. And it comes in paprika amongst many shades. Paprika with it’s subtext of spicy passion and bang on trend for Fall 23.
Now you are ready for when the sun comes out from behind a cloud. It’s made from 95% viscose a natural fibre created from wood pulp. The little you can find it in our Made in Italy collection.
Don’t be thinking it’s too late for sandals. You can still flash that tan, paint those toes and enjoy a bit of vitamin D on whatever skin you dare show. But you do need versatility. A few bits and bobs left in the back of your car … a change of shoes in the office.
Why not walk to work in a pair of our Ayla chunky sole plimsolls then slip on a pair of pumps, you keep under your desk at office. If you are doing something fun on the way home keep some sandals like our Gold Gretchen in the boot of your car
Summer isn’t over until September is out. You just have to grab moments until the Autmn equinox. That’s when our blessed planet tilts into longer nights than days and it’s time to embrace scarves and hats.

Linen is loved for its elegant drape. The fabric has a slubby texture that gives structure. It creates an impression of ease and glamour. Our Made in Italy Hannah tunic makes the most of linen with a flattering boat neck. It comes in under the bust before curving to flatter the hips with a Lagenlook hem. You may want to choose several of the thirteen colours. Wear it over leggings or jeans to feel feminine and fresh. This piece is loved for its feminine shape and how well it hangs.
Linen feels crisp yet silky. It’s breathable. The gaps in the fibre can keep you cool as well as warm in winter. Made from flax, linen becomes softer the more you wash it, improving with age. It absorbs moisture without becoming damp to the touch. It keeps its shape while other fabrics might lose their form if you perspire. Tanika is a top that gives you more structure than a t-shirt but still signals easy style. The applique swirl on the left hand side enhances the texture. You can collect it in 7 colours.
Linen trousers are a summer wardrobe staple. Celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence and Angelina Jolie step out in them regularly. We have two varieties for you to choose from. Wide-legged Sasha which has button detailing down one leg. Cecilia are gathered at the ankle in a harem style. Both feel airy and light to wear. Linen gets stronger over time so investing in linen trousers will stand you in good stead for years to come.
Linen is no more difficult to look after than cotton. You can machine or hand wash it. It’s best hung to dry with no ironing to keep the slubby look. Yes, no ironing! A top tip is to hang your dress in the steam of the bathroom while you shower. Don’t worry that it will end up damp, linen is quick drying.
Luvvey’s Linda smock dress is a summer classic. It is a 50% mix of cotton and linen. While you keep the texture of linen it is slightly more affordable. Gathered under the bust, this Made In Italy piece floats beautifully. Two pockets give it a practical look you can relax in.
Linen is an environmentally friendly product. It’s made from flax, a crop which supports biodiversity since it does not require the heavy use of pesticides. It flourishes without much irrigation making it sustainable. Every bit of the plant is used for products including paper and varnish. It even has an insect-repelling quality helping it last even longer! What’s not to love about linen?

Go Bold or go Home
Florals have made their annual comeback. With the bold print of our Wynne floaty trousers, you can really make an impact. Pair them with a fresh and feminine block colour top. Match a colour from the print or use dramatic black. If you want to intrigue with a little more detail choose an interesting neckline or go all in for detail with a broderie anglaise top, Dana. You can power up the look with heels to project confidence in the office. Make your entrance and make your mark.
The finer print of the Yvette floaty daisy trousers can be paired with a larger print top .Our Darby linen mix short tunic is so vibrant in fuschia or calming in khaki.
Sophistication Makes a Subtle but Impactful Impression
If you are more of an introvert the ditsy patterned tea dress Heidi is perfect for you. Add a broad-rimmed sun hat and huge sunglasses and some costume jewellery…and hey presto you are channelling your inner Audrey Hepburn! You might like to further enhance this look from the icon of gamine chic with gloves at a cocktail party or a wedding. Because the ditsy dress is waisted at the back only, it gives an elegant vibe rather than that waisted 50’s A-line skirt that most tea dresses do. In an office, a blazer and pearls, and closed-toe court shoes will keep the impression professional.
Make an impression at an interview,
You do need to exercise a little restraint at formal work occasions, but you still don’t want to be forgotten. Our Carla is light and summery but lined. In Khaki or denim blue, it draws the eye with its design without coming across as brash.
Whatever happens in the day don’t feel you can’t slip on your flip flops when you get home. You don’t have to look like someone out of an Agatha Christie drama! Adapt your outfit so you can be yourself after an occasion and you will remember that day as ending well.
Eileen is our tunic of 2023 summer. Whether you choose to wear it as a dress, over leggings or under a blazer, it is a striking yet inviting daisy print. Unforgettable. And it comes in 9 colourways!
Have Fun with Accessories, Jewellery and Make-up at the Weekend!
Just a little extra effort…adding a bangle or changing your earrings can lift an outfit in seconds.
Remember how many hours you spent as a teenager with your friends practicing make-up? You deserve as much of that joie de vivre as possible still today! A slick of lippy in a shade you haven’t worn since you were in your twenties can make you feel giggly. Peacock blue nail varnish will flash in front of you all day and remind you how special you are.
The most important memories you can create with clothing are how they make you feel. At Luvvey we want you to keep building happy memories within.
The outfit should be memorable to you before anyone else because it helped you bring your authentic self to an occasion. That might even be as simple as going to the post office or dropping the kids off at swimming. Enjoy your clothes!

Decluttering has to be an ongoing process, but the rewards are many. It’s so much easier to get dressed in the morning if you’re organised and not rummaging through things you never wear to find something that fits. These 6 tips will help you stay on top of your wardrobe and free you to replace items with things that make you feel great.
Marie Kondo
Marie Kondo developed her method of tidying when she had to move from Japan to the States with just a few things. Things that sparked joy. If you pile every item of clothing you own onto the bed you realise how much you have and what you don’t need. Then you can place what you really love back in your drawers and cupboard.
Hang your clothes in outfits
There are many ways to organise a hanging rail. Colours, lengths, seasons. If you have a few outfits put together and ready to go it’s going to make your working week so much easier. Put the skirt blouse and blazer on one hanger. If you can’t see how an item would fit into an outfit, you need to let it go. Once you’ve pared down your wardrobe you might notice some staples are missing. Abigail jeggings are a perfect basis to wear every day. Couple them with a pretty top like Leila with its frilly shoulders in 6 colours so you can get going without thinking.
Donate what you don’t need.
Could someone else be using what you aren’t wearing? Charity shops are taking donations of good quality clothing. It’s so much easier to let things go if you know someone else will enjoy them.
Give to a relative
Do you have a daughter who has just come out of that early teen rebellious stage? Do you find she’s borrowed (without asking) some items from your drawer? In later teens they will fit things that fitted you before you had kids. It might be a piece from the 60s your mother handed down to you. Now you have space in your wardrobe and you’ve beating her at her own game of removing things from your bedroom!
Sell online
You might have a dress you’ve worn once to a really special wedding. Put it on ebay and let it go. Create a little fund to rejuvenate your collection. Birdie is a fabulous Boho dress that you can wear over and over to feel feminine and that little bit out of the ordinary.
Buy one-size items
Some of us change shape throughout the year or even through the month due to our monthly cycles. Our collection allows for these fluctuations. Do you tend to indulge in warm stews with cobbler and dumplings or Jamie Oliver’s Yorkshire puddings in the winter but switch to salads in summer? Our tunic collection is ideal for your changing body shape. Hannah is our timeless Lagenlook linen tunic available in 5 colours. You can belt it, use it as a dress, or put on tights and knee-high boots in the winter.
One in one out
This rule is the best way we know to maintain your streamlined wardrobe. Shoes are a good place to start. Let the worn-out ones go. We have espadrilles Flossie and Gretchen with a wedged heel and closed toe to prep you for summer.
Now you’ve made space you can treat yourself to something sunny like our Bonnie floaty floral trousers to help you embrace summer. Head over to www.luvvey.com for more inspiration.

We tend to collect staples like black tank tops, white blouses and beige slacks. But when you find the perfect, comfortable high-waisted jeans you realise getting dressed is so much easier. A blazer gives you a professional demeanour with the practicality of pockets.
There is an item that can give you a flattering new shape can make you think about clothing in a whole new way. A tunic.
A tunic can bring a whole new range of possibilities in how you dress. Reaching between the hips and the knees it compliments your curves with its long-line silhouette. It flatters any figure by uniting the top and bottom of your body rather than cutting you in half. You can wear a poloneck underneath it or layer it with a cardigan. Tunics are incredibly versatile and you won’t believe you haven’t worn them forever.
Hannah is our Made In Italy plain tunic with two-third-length sleeves. It nips in under the bust and has a floating Lagenlook hem. This makes it inherently feminine giving off an easy vibe in linen. Choose from many colours to start a new way of dressing with ease and style.
Tunics give you the look of a pulled-together outfit without any effort. Our Harlow is striped with a collar making you look and feel capable and ready for action.
Toni is shorter with a flattering gentle boat neck. Ruched detailing at the side and a bow add to the feminine feel. The vertical stripes are subtle.
Being longer, a tunic is warm over leggings with boots. It can replace a cardigan. A tunic says confidence in the season. Our Betty animal print leggings are a fun addition revealing your bold side.
Tunics can also be a statement piece. Susie is our graceful floral tunic. Fit and flare with patch pockets the pattern is so joyful it will bring a positive feeling wherever you go.
Even more striking is Kaylee, our giraffe print batwing tunic with sequins on the cuff. This tunic exudes confidence yet it is a style so easy to adopt over jeans.
In the evenings you can belt a tunic and wear it as a dress with heels. Style it up with a gorgeous necklace and bangles. It’s easy to do if you’re going out after work.
The comfort and ease of tunics and their versatility make them invaluable to any wardrobe. Start your new love affair with tunics at www.luvvey.com.

Here are some ways to discover your own individual style and build on it.
A great place to start is in your own wardrobe or on your rail. What do you have there that you love and wear all the time? Consider the silhouette of your favourite dress or tunic. Which fabric feels so soft and light you can float in it?
Another idea is to draw inspiration from your favourite celebrity. What is the Duchess of Cambridge stepping out in? What colours did Claudia Winkelman wear on strictly the other night? You may even want to emulate someone you meet in everyday life or what did your manager wear to dominate the meeting?
Channel your inner Queen Consort in the Luvvey style Rosemary. This Lagenlook tunic skims the back of the knees with a curved draped hemline that looks almost regal. The structured shoulder helps you feel confident. Be the Camilla in your own domain.
Now in her 50s, Jennifer Aniston continues to present herself with elegant sophistication. You can imagine her in our Venetia that allows you to float into a room as it creates its own movement. Available in 5 of this season’s colours Venetia is perfect to pair with a pattern like our Betty animal print trousers. Draw attention away from the upper body. Show off those pins! The stretchy fabric makes them so comfortable and you can choose from all 7 colours or collect several pairs. Match them to your sweater or contrast.
An alternative block colour sweater is Luvvey’s Nigella. With structured shoulders and a shorter hemline you will feel quite different in it. You can still choose to coordinate or style it up with a colourful floral scarf whose pattern is set off by a mint or emerald green sweater below. Choose from 7 colours.
Neeta is a textured waffle oversized shirt with cuffs that create a pirate blouson. The back drapes like a fluted skirt with a curved hem and the collar movies structure without looking masculine. In subtle taupe or khaki, it’s easy to pair with bright trousers or liven up with beads or a pendant. You can belt it or wear it over a polo-neck on cooler days.
Don’t let the changing seasons inhibit your style. Whether your style is bohemian chic or your colour palette is sophisticated muted tones, you can always find pieces to enhance your personal collection at Luvvey.
Now that you have decided the lengths of tops that suit you best and the colours that bring you joy even in the late winter you can be more confident in selecting pieces for your wardrobe. You can also repeat the same style in different colours or choose accessories that allow you to repurpose your signature item.
At Luvvey we are always delighted to help. If you are stuck for ideas do drop us a line at info@Luvvey. com
]]>It’s worth investing a few hours sorting out your wardrobe. It will take time but save you many minutes every morning once it’s done. You can open the doors and smile at an array of favourite pieces instead of having to rummage.
The best thing to do is to take everything out and lay it on the bed. Put the hangers back on the rail and see that there are not too many and they are good quality.
Take each piece from your pile and evaluate it. Does it speak to who you want to be now? Have a bag or box ready for the charity shop. Think of the pleasure someone else will get from them. You may even be able to sell some things you’ve bought for a special occasion and just haven’t worn again.
Put your regular and favourite pieces back on the rail. You might like to organise by colour but a section for each item works well. Start with blouses white to dark. Next the trousers. Have all your dresses in one place with block colours then patterned. Do they all still fit?
Blazers and suits hang together and then coats. If your rail is free-standing it’s pleasing to have the short items at one end and long at the other.
Now check you have enough of everything to make dressing for the week easy. Our Willow trousers come in 10 different colours. They’re super comfortable in stretch jeans fabric with an elasticated waist so easy to wear under any of your tops.
If you’ve managed to ruthlessly weed out what you don’t wear, you might have space to treat yourself to something new and up to date like our Reese Made in Italy fit and flare cotton top. It has a flattering drape and Lagenlook dipped hemline.
If you have a chest of drawers as well as hanging space that can be a refuge for all kinds of clothing that’s worn out and unloved. Take one drawer at a time and empty the whole thing out. You might have a lot more clothing than you realise and want to let some of the worn-out stuff go. Revive your sweaters with something colourful like our Amelia. It’s a generous long fine knit with delicate button detail on the front. Available in six colours it will keep you warm and elegant.
Let go of the colours from yesteryear, sizes and shapes from before you had children. Think how much easier putting laundry away will be. You’ll be able to take pleasure in what you do have.
Scarves and accessories can pile up. Maybe you have been given things you just don’t wear. It’s ok to pass these on. Now you can see your outfits easily you can choose statement pieces like Kady retro poppy scarf that brightens even the gloomiest January day. We have a range of fun necklaces and pendants that sparkle and let you express your sense of fun and sparkle.
Once you have a system you can have a seasonal or semi-annual sort out and love your wardrobe rather than struggle with it. You are investing time and organisation in yourself and you deserve a reward for that! You are so worth it.

Start with a fitted top and bottom. Polo necks are classic layering times. Then try an oversized white shirt with tails to your knees under a contrasting short waistcoat. Or if you want to elongate your look try a long waistcoat in wool. Colourful print skirts or dresses over leggings express fun and joie de vivre.
In Europe, Lagenlook is the the name given to layering unconventionally shaped pieces to make an impact. It needn’t look bulky. In fact, it often has the effect of elongating your body shape making you appear taller and slimmer. Unusual shapes can detract from your tummy if you are self-conscious about it. But mostly they are just a lot of fun to wear. Linens, jersey knits, tunics and skirts all feature. Linen paired with jersey knits, velvets and ruffles all play a part. Wylder is a fit and flare boat-necked tunic jumper. It’s Lagenlook because it has seams that cause the hemline to ruffle. The addition of a matching or contrasting scarf in the same material with tassels adds a sumptuous and fun dimension to the look.
Jude from our Made in Italy range creates a fabulous shape which allows you to feature a dress, skirt or tight-fitting jeans. It’s a wrapped poncho that fits snuggly around the shoulder with a wrap-over rib that ripples down the body. A triangular gap at the front let’s you choose clothes below that contrast in colour. A shirt with a collar would work well. Enjoy colour-blocking your layers - be striking in emerald green or fuschia or a little more subtle in silver.
Winslett is a classic ribbed jumper which comes in more than a dozen colours. It is the perfect way to extend the life of a favourite summer dress. Match its block colour to your favourite shade in the pattern of a skirt showing below.
A bright colour can make an eye-catching backdrop for our Sadie extra-long quilted gilet. Try chocolate over a cayenne sweater when you are feeling bold or biscuit over taupe for sophistication. The length makes a functional item elegant.
Our Mariana coat comes with its own layer. It’s oversized collar drapes over your shoulders and feels so luxurious. Create different lines with your hands in its deep pockets as it has no fastenings. It’s mottled wool mix texture would contrast beautifully with a plain cotton shirt or dress underneath. It also works well with trousers
So enjoy the chance to experiment that layering gives you. Create new lines with Lagenlook and embrace the opportunities winter gives you to play with style.

There are stages in life when you suddenly find things in your wardrobe you haven’t worn in decades. They are no longer in vogue, they don’t fit your current shape. They might be from your independent city life before children. Treasured pieces you found on sale but only worn on that one first date.
Go ahead and keep pieces that hold an old memory too precious to throw away but the old you is gone and so too must that look. Instead look forward to a bright stylish future. It's time to rebuild. Why not make sure you have the essentials in a capsule wardrobe that works for your life now?
Let’s look again at the 12 essential pieces including shoes that we mentioned in our October blog. Are they as interesting as well as versatile as they could be as Autumn surrenders to winter?
If you had to have only one sweater in your draw let’s not let it be the dull crew neck. Let’s change it up for a mock turtle neck with a flattering length that elongates the waist for those of us who are more apple than pear. Let’s have plenty of room around the armpit area so you are not constricted. Let’s have a flattering small rib across the chest rather than a bulky chunky knit, let’s choose a super soft material that’s easy to care for. Such a garment is our Sheridan which is 50% natural viscose but has technical elements to make it super soft and easily washed.
We have so many fabulous sweaters that are practical and classic yet detailed enough to captivate.
The Winslet jumper is fine enough to wear under your stalwart leather or denim jacket. You can replicate it in various seasonal tones of colour. The plaited seam down the back gives it enough detail to intrigue without losing any practicality.
Carter is a wool mix, fit and flare tunic over fitted trousers or leggings. The block of colour that denotes a casual look. You can even roll up the sleeves to show off bangles or set about the washing up.
Once all your essentials are in place, they all fit the shape you are now, they aren’t warn of frayed or carrying too many memories, you can start looking for a seasonal treat.
Teagan is just that. For that crisp frosty day when you have a lunchtime date or an evening drinks party, you can forgo waterproof jackets or your trusty leather jacket or your oh so versatile Denim shirt for the fabulous, floaty poncho jumper like Teagan.
Remember you can enhance the 12 items in a capsule wardrobe by collecting favourite items in different colours. We stock brights as well as muted, subtle shades to reflect your mood.
Most of all enjoy your clothing. Fashion is only ever meant to be fun. Remember we are happy to help with styling advice, colour suggestions or queries. Just drop us a line info@luvvey.com with Style Me Up in the subject box.
]]>What a delightful way to be comfortable yet confident. If you are not ready to embrace the whole stitched and curved calf details Our Angie suedette boots give you that lift and are pointy enough for attitude. They will add a determined statement to a floaty tunic like our Ryker jumper and all the adventurous connotations of a rodeo cowgirl. With generous bat wings yet practical ribbed forearms, Ryker is infinitely wearable. Vivienne has faux pearl and tassel details that add glamour to a generous comforting tunic.
Saturated colour under a standard blazer will nod to this year’s bright colours for Autumn. Our vivid pink Grettal hits the mark. With its simple round neck and flattering fit and flare shape you can let the colour do the talking, exude confidence and brighten up even the most overcast days. It comes with a matching scarf making it even more versatile.
Other pieces you won’t want to be without this Autumn are a cosy cardigan, a luxurious sweater, 3 coordinating tops, two pairs of trousers including jeans but also coloured ones to mark the fully saturated 2022 look. As well as boots, pumps remain essential for an indoor feminine look.
A blazer and a trench coat are Autumn staples but our extended gilet Sadie helps you cope with unpredictable temperatures and unexpected rainfall. It’s hood is there in case you are caught in a shower and the zips at the side let you move freely if you are out with the dog or chasing after children. Whether you choose black, soft grey, beige or khaki Sadie looks fabulous with a bright colour underneath.
Crucial to any of these outfits is a flattering scarf. We has a range of lightweight patterned scarves that really lift a look. Dawn with its tiny leaves gives a nod to the season without being overpowering. Animal prints always indicate a little mischief. Snakeskin Esme is a sophisticated version.
Autumn can feel like the end of summer but if you let it be the beginning of cosy times by the fire of warm layers and sociable occasions then you can be more optimistic. Embrace the elements and the energy of the gales by being prepared for anything Autumn brings.
Have a look on www.luvvey.com. Choose a few pieces to help you face the changing season with joy and enthusiasm.

Start with one colour if you feel hesitant. What colour do you like in flowers or furniture? A warm coral or pink is flattering. Choose the colour in a shape you would usually wear so you don’t push yourself too far out of your comfort zone. It’s bound to win you compliments. Our Hazel oversized tunic comes in block colours including blue and fuchsia that brighten up jeans without being hectic.
You can also start with a scarf or accessory if an entire garment seems too much. A bright handbag or a bold shoe can really jazz up a look.
A colourful dress means you don’t have to worry about matching. Brianne comes in dusky pink, wine, cayenne or teal. With a front knot and rolled-up sleeves it is elegant on any occasion.
Instead of relying on black, you can explore other neutrals like navy, beige, greys or browns. They can make you look so sophisticated. You can ground colour with a neutral piece like a denim jacket or beige chinos so it can still draw attention without being overwhelming. Our Krystal maxi dress has an understated geometric pattern on neutral backgrounds that gives depth.
Dressing a bit more visibly is about self-empowerment. If you are on zoom calls, bolder colours will help you stand out and perk everyone up Kathryn has an interesting abstract fleck on cornflower blue or ballet pink. If you want to create impact and exude confidence at work then red teamed with black or white is about as striking as you can get.
To find out what suits your skin tone and hair colour, hold a piece of white paper to your face and look for what tones stand out in your skin. If your skin gives off pink, rosy tones then cool colours will suit you. Try blues, reds with a blue base or blue-greens and purple. Brown skin tones indicate warm so browns, yellow, green and orange-based reds suit you. Neutral skin tones can wear most colours but some look better in bright and others in pastels. Tone is important.
Susie has a subtle floral print adding texture to a range of 17 colours. Opal has multi-coloured wild roses with great summer appeal. You can pick out a colour with Khaki trousers or a pink cardigan to match.
Even more dramatic is the Cassandra animal print which comes in red, orange, blue or green. Easily paired with black trousers the effect is bold and self-assured.
You can extend the colour to make-up by adding a matching lipstick with orange or purple tones and really have fun with eye shadow in the evening.
Be bold, let colour bring joy to your day.

Escaping somewhere warm? Here’s a guide to what to bring so you can keep cool and stylish in a hotter climate. Treat yourself to a few new pieces for your holiday and add to the anticipation of a fun and carefree time. Let packing get you in the mood for pleasure.
You’ll need at least 4 sets of underwear and tops but why not take enough for a week so you don’t have to worry about laundry? Luvvey’s Taryn tunic linen top is ideal and comes in 5 colours. It has a handy pocket for your sunglasses. Linen is the perfect fabric for warm climates as it keeps a crisp fresh appearance. It's highly breathable, helping you to stay cooler for longer. The Opal tunic gives more coverage as it’s knee length with elbow length sleeves. Its wild roses exude summer vibes.
A long-sleeved blouse is a great addition to your suitcase for cooler evenings or to protect you from the sun in the middle of the day.
Two pairs of shorts are a good idea with long trousers for going out in the evening.
It's important to dress appropriately in certain cultures especially away from the beach. Cover up to visit a mosque in Istanbul or the souk in Morocco. Shorts are frowned upon in Muslim Malaysia so should be at least knee length.
Sundresses are so comfortable and make you feel feminine and relaxed. Our Paige dress has layers to add a sense of fun and frivolity. Talia’s balloon shape is airy so it’s cooler and makes beach changing easy.
You will want several smart or dressy outfits for the evening: something elegant like Brianne with its unique front knot. This is a longer dress that feels a little more formal. Nicky is a flared floral tunic with a cowl neck that looks sophisticated. Cynthia is a super light top with a palm print and interesting lace detailing at the bottom and side splits. Hang them in the bathroom while you shower so the creases fall out of the linen.
Take at least two swimsuits so you don’t have to put a damp one on. Different strap lines will help you get a more even tan.
Let your feet breathe and show off a pedicure by choosing from our fun range of sandals. Lucy are perfect for poolside with amazing applique floral detail. Nelle are comfortable for sightseeing with two buckled straps. For the evening sparkly multiculoured Halo are comfortable yet glamorous and multi-coloured Pixie sliders are vibrant. The crossover gives a little more support.
A light sweater is useful if it gets cooler in the evening or the air conditioning is set too low. Sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat will protect you from the sun.Tropical destinations have heavy showers so a rain jacket and small umbrella are useful.
Wear a few items of jewelry on the journey and that’s really all there is to it! You have everything you need to have a fabulous time. Bon voyage!

A plain blazer over the top of a patterned dress like Luvvey’s Eva with its daisy print just hints at the pattern without being hectic. When you're ready you can take off the jacket to reveal the beautiful patterned dress which is both modern and retro.
Wearing one bold print over a neutral skirt, dress or trousers lets the print pop without being overbearing and you can be certain not to clash. Use your wardrobe staples like black trousers so the top does all the talking. Keep to shapes and styles you are familiar with and you know flatter your figure so that adding pattern is not so daunting.
Matching the background colour lets the design stand out with a statement piece. Luvvey has stunning prints to choose from and trousers in a range of colours that will coordinate. The Opal tunic from the Made in Italy collection has giant wild roses on a variety of background colours that look stunning with matching leggings. The Victoria cotton top has large daisies that will brighten up jeans so you can’t help but feel sunny.
Geometrics make a dramatic impact for extroverts. Luvvey’s tunic dress Tillie has large loops and a helix design that can’t fail to catch the eye at a party. It's almost like wearing a kaleidoscope. The Nika Tunic top is even more abstract for the bold. It fascinates.
It is possible to pair patterns without being loud by using a fine print as the neutral for a larger statement print. The smaller, denser pattern blends as a base colour from a distance while giving interest and detail close up. Keeping to the same pattern like fine polka dots with larger more widely spaced dots is very chic. Luvvey’s Isabella animal print trousers are subtle enough to work well for this.
When combining patterns stay within the same colour family to keep it classy. Monochrome black and white is very eye-catching. You can combine stripes with plaid and herringbone in different sizes without fear of them jarring. You can also do this with reds or blues though, or any colour as long as you match the tones. Try a red and white polka dot with a red floral pattern.
Trust yourself with patterns. Have fun experimenting at home. It's your chance to express your unique style. Feel delightfully feminine with florals or bold with geometrics. If your outfit makes you feel good, you will shine.

Start with close-fitting items so the effect doesn't get too bulky. Use the foundation of an elegant silhouette which is still seen beneath a flowing over-sized shirt or tunic. Extra long button up shirts are ideal for layering under knitted vests or a crew neck sweater with the collar showing. Pull the cuffs down to show below the sweater sleeve. Polo necks fit under most things and meet that form-fitting criteria. They are wonderful under jumpsuits or spaghetti strap dresses.
Layering enables you to experiment so many aspects of fashion including colour and pattern, texture and fit. Consider a pale pink shirt under a red sweater, a tiny floral print under a bold statement piece.
Scarves, shawls and ponchos give so much flexibility when the weather changes from cool and overcast to warm sunshine. They can really brighten up an outfit. Even a lightweight scarf keeps your neck and shoulders warm just by trapping a layer of air. It can really brighten up a formal blazer adding colour to the face.
Contrasting textures add so much interest. Choose two or three fabrics in one outfit, cotton, denim and wool combine well. Spring gives you a chance to get creative with combining summer items with winter ones, for example a summer dress with a chunky knit or wool coat. Balance the amount of each texture. Denim jeans would make up 50% of a look, a woolen vest 30 and cotton shirt sleeves 20%.
When you are layering the fit and size of the different items as well as textures, there is a lot going on before you consider colour. Sticking to one colour family keeps the ensemble chic and elegant. For example, beige and camel tones look smart and sophisticated. Monochrome doesn’t have to be just black and white. Various shades of blue combine to give a sophisticated, pulled together look.
Keep in mind your own body proportions when selecting oversized items. Taller women can pull off oversized sweaters with baggy jeans but this might swamp a shorter person. You want the clothes to complement your form, not let them wear you! Be careful of adding more than 2 oversized items into the look.
Belts are key to keeping definition in a layered look. Don’t be afraid to add one over a blazer or coat or chunky sweater. Belts can instantly emphasise your curves in a positive way. They can also hold several different pieces in place.
Have a play and experiment in front of the mirror to see what suits your body proportions. Let layering be fun.
]]>Embrace Your Curves
Beyonce, J-Lo and Kate Winslett are all icons who grace our screens with womanly curves. Women now spend hours in the gym trying to develop booty like theirs to shake on the dancefloor! Being happy with the shape you are is such a huge part of our well-being as women. Remember those wonderful words voluptuous and buxom? Studies have shown that the sight of a curvy woman triggers the same part of the brain in men where positive reward is stimulated and can actually be addictive. Other women will also respond to your confidence, a relief from the seemingly universal airbrushed images of skinny girls. As we get older, it is far healthier to have a little plump skin with fewer wrinkles. Being curvy doesn’t mean you aren’t toned.
There is an art to dressing curves. By following a few of these suggestions, you can make the most of mother nature’s gifts.
1. Know if you are hourglass, apple or pear shaped so you can balance your silhouette. For hourglass choose tops that nip in at the waist or use belts. A v-neck top draws attention to the waist. If you are apple shaped you may want to show off slimmer legs and shift dresses are great for this. Or try empire-line with the waistline just under the bust. Maxi dresses elongate the body for apple. For pear-shaped choose a wrap dress that skims the hips and thighs. Try an off-the-shoulder top to draw the eye to a favourite feature.
2. Go bold with prints and colour. Too many larger women lose themselves in black. Express your personality! Choosing vibrant patterns reflects your inner confidence. Radiate that joy! You can even pair a smaller densely spaced pattern top with a larger print with wider spacing on a skirt. The finer print acts as the neutral in a matching colour scheme for a striking effect.
3. Have fun accessorizing with scarves and necklaces. Again this draws the eye away from areas you may not be so fond of. Carry the right size of bag. It's all about proportion. Choose a medium structured one rather than small which will exaggerate you or too big which will seem bulky. And shoes, don’t forget the wonderful potential of shoes. Neutral pumps are best and of course heels will elongate the leg.
4. You want clothes that are not too tight but don’t drown you. Shop through any changes in weight. Look for the proper drape over your body. Visible underwear lines mean it's too tight! The quality of the fabric also makes a difference.
At Luvvey we want you to enjoy being feminine and enjoy your clothes!

It is hard to ignore growing concerns that show the fashion industry to be unsustainable in its current form. With this in mind we have sourced some new yarns for our AW19 Poncho and Accessories Collection, which are made in the EU exclusively from recycled fibres.
The fibres which make up these yarns are from both pre- and post-consumer waste, which is to say that they are made up of yarn wasted during the manufacturing process, and also from completed garments.
Collected materials are sorted by hand into colour groups and yarn types before being mechanically shredded and combed until they are ready to be respun into beautiful new yarn.
By making a conscious decision to purchase garments made from recycled yarn, you are helping to bring the fashion industry one step closer to sustainability.
Sustainability
We have heard so much recently about the amount of clothing and textile waste that goes to landfill each year. It makes perfect sense to recycle fibres so that they can be re-used to make new clothing.
This has several advantages.
Firstly and most obviously, if fibres are being recycled, they are not going to landfill! Hurray!!
But there is far more to the story than that…
Wool, cotton and other fibres go through a host of polluting processes and use large volumes of water in order that they be turned into yarns that can be woven or knitted. Many of these processes don’t need to be repeated on fibres that are to be regenerated, thus saving water, and drastically reducing pollution and their carbon footprint.
For example, our recycled yarns are not re-dyed, but retain the colours of the original manufacturing process.
Kinder to the Planet
A complete Life Cycle Analysis measuring the environmental impact of each stage of the manufacture of our sustainable recycled yarns show them to have 98% less environmental impact than an equivalent yarn made from virgin fibres!
They have been independently tested in accordance with stringent standards laid down by the ISO (https://www.iso.org), and have been awarded ISO 14040/14044.
Fabric Composition
Recycled Wool Mix, Aran Style: 70% Wool. 25% Polyamide, 5% Other Fibres
]]>Today, after seven years of the "Detox My Fashion " campaign, eighty international brands, retailers and suppliers have commited to the Detox Campaign.
The most significant of these was when twenty companies ( suppliers to the luxury brands) from Italys textile industry simultaneously announced their commitment to Detox in February 2016. These companies represent different parts of the textile supply chain, from manufacture of yarn, fabric , and raw materials, including chemical formulas , to dyeing and fabric finishing.
The Group has a technical committee made up of academics and representatives from Greenpeace, and promotes its achievements nationally and internationally. Its Goal is to lead the entire Italian textile sector towards commiting to Detox Principles.
