Let’s do it together…let’s dust out the wardrobe and refresh what you are going to wear for the new season and all the events it brings.
Try these 5 tips to get ahead in fashion your career, parenting and the all-important fun times! We can’t all be size zero like Sabrina Carpenter but we can all listen to her latest album Short and Sweet and rock spring fashion.
1. Deploy a transitional sweater
Angora is the softest undercoat of specially bred rabbits. It is distinct from mohair and cashmere which come from goats. The extra fluffiness of Angora comes in a variety of colours without needing to be dyed. It can be combined with sheep’s wool, to keep it affordable, and viscose from wood pulp to create yarn that is 100% natural but easy to wash and shape. Enter Tilly our bright floral jersey with oh so oh-so-flattering v-neck. If you are ready to pack away your chunky knits but want a jersey for the evening and early morning consider Tilly. Wear it under a jacket or over a lace teddy so you can peel it off if you get hot cooking dinner.
2. Check you have the right jeans
Are all your denims dark? Are they all dark denim? What about choosing a mid-blue? High-waisted but tailored with pleats at the front to flatter…with just a part waist elasticated you won’t feel like a granny in but if you overindulge at dinner you are still going to be comfortable. Yasmine are wide-legged jeans on-trend.
3. Don’t deny yourself double denim
Double denim is a thing for a reason. Pair our fabulous blouse Helena in the “denim” colourway, add your favourite denim jacket and head out to a gig or party with a fresh edge.
4. Remember Lagenlook is still your friend
Are you still experimenting with hemlines, fit and flare textures and patterns? No time? Remi does Lagenlook for you with embroidery anglaise trim to cuffs and waistband! Add a velvet waistcoat to take it even more towards the experimental.
5. Embrace Florals
…but be sure they are Made in Italy because no matter the trend, those Italians are always tasteful. Large floral prints are in this spring as demonstrated with Tilly but If they are detracting from your winter holiday tan or your stunning new blond highlights don’t be that slave to fashion. Consider ditsy prints as a subtler nod to nature.
6. Create your wishlist
Embrace the optimism of spring by creating a wishlist. Fill your basket…It’s only a wishlist so you can fill your boots! Then delete some items in your basket to suit this month’s budget.
