Dive into Print this Spring to Elevate your Outfits with Colour and Design

There are some fabulous patterns on the runways this season. Florals are taken to the next level emblazoned across the body to enhance your already marvellous physique. Large abstract prints are unmissable. But there are also subtler, detailed designs to fascinate.

Take a leaf out of Reese Witherspoon’s book and embrace florals.  There are myriad possibilities to express your personality. Intricate or extrovert, they can dazzle, distract or intrigue.

On our button-down linen dress Perla magnolia blooms and leaves float down reflecting the airiness of the linen fabric. There’s an actual feeling of movement in it, creating an impression of effortlessness and ease. This piece would be ideal for a special occasion, even a wedding.

Adding prints to your wardrobe will reveal new dimensions to your style. Choose colours you already enjoy and you know flatter you.

The flowers on Alex from our Made in Italy range are abstract. They are larger on the body of this dress then repeated on a formal geometric border at the bottom. Choose navy for a dramatic effect or denim for a more relaxed feel.  It's the print that people will be absorbed by not your physique. This is an example of how high contrast might overwhelm you but you can find the same design in more muted tones.

Taller people tend to be able to pull off bolder designs whereas a petite person may be swamped. Something delicate like our cotton top Anna’s blossom print won’t overwhelm especially if you choose a pastel background like taupe or candy pink. The design is almost like a landscape with the flowers rising up from a block colour.

The embroidered flowers and stars of Esme use only two colours. These can be contrasting with cream on navy or subtle against dusty pink. This short kaftan’s rectangular shape covers the body with the eye focusing on the needlework, not your shape. The texture of the stitching adds another dimension.

Courtney’s fit and flare silhouette is reflected in the petals of the mandala flowers printed all over it. This is a very complex design. It even has lace on the back shoulders and sleeve trims.  It reflects depth and experience.

Holidays are your chance to let loose and the graduating splashes of colour on Sacha let you do just that. Use this dress as a cover up to exude joy and positivity.  It comes in a range of colourways so you can match your complexion.

The possibilities with prints are endless with so much to explore.  A great trick is to try it on in a mirror and check that you are wearing the pattern it is not wearing you.

Think of it as embarking on an adventure with unique clothing. Life is too short to fade into the background!
